SELF INITIATED PROJECT 2

Vivienne Westwood.

  • Looking at Vivienne Westwards collections of bags and how she creates plain bags but uses contrasting and bold patterns for the inner lining.
  • The recognisable squiggle pattern occurs frequently within the inners of her bags.
  • Used in contrasting colours to the outside of the bags the inlining appears in a range of strong reds, oranges and pinks
  • Blue, light and dark as well as black are the main colours used for the outside colour of the bags. All in made from soft, hard or shiny leathers.
  • All over prints are used on smaller bags, such as clutches and purses that are covered in repeated or placement print designs.
